Will Catalonia gain independency? In my own personal opinion, yes it can. But I want to know what you guys think about this issue over Catalonia and Spain.

I think it can't happen. I never seen Catalans complaining independence in large numbers. I mean its not convincing enough to let the world know that they want independence. I think that the primary reason is economic. The rise of unemployment in Spain is grown to a larger rate than what they used to. I don't see the Spanish government allowing Catalonia to leave very easily and I honestly believe they are not ready to be independent. But who knows?.

I think its because the language and culture is different from Spain doesn't give a region the right to claim independence I mean how about Chinatown declaring independence? Doesn't that sound so stupid?

Spain consists of multiple nations. There is no reason to say goodbye. They should respect and be proud to have a state with such multi-nationality, they could work out together. If I were a Catalan I don't see the point of being to an independent nation. I mean if they fail as an independent nation they would have no ally.
